Clinical psychologist

Clinical psychologist provides services as follows:

  • Psychological counselling for Children, Adolescents and Adults. Generally, the work involves using game therapy, dance and movement therapy, children's emotional upbringing techniques and other elements of the approach.
  • Psychological research and recommendations (intellectual development, readiness for school, causes of behaviour and learning problems, etc.).
  • Provision of psychological opinions using the standardized Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-IV), which is designed for children from 6 to 16 years of age.

Psychological assessment and the study of intelligence in children from 6 to 16 years of age are performed using the standardized Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-IV), that assesses a child's overall intellectual developmental factor (IQ) and defines the strengths and weaknesses of the child's intellectual capacity (memory, attention, and thinking patterns).

In the course of the study, the initial information about the child's development history is collected in an interview conducted with the adult. Following the conversation, the psychologist asks the child to complete the test task.

Usually, the study time takes about 3 hours. If a child or adolescent is having difficulty concentrating his/her attention for a long time, then execution of the test can be split up and performed in two appointments.
Overall, about 2.5 hours are required for psychological research (gathering of initial information, performing tests with the child);

It takes ~ 3 hours to process the results and write psychological opinion;
It takes ~ 20 minutes to provide feedback.
